Day 1 - Kochi to Munnar
Your Munnar adventure begins with a pick-up from Kochi, followed by a scenic drive to your hill station haven. Along the way, you'll stop to admire the cascading beauty of Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, and delve into the world of fragrant spices at a local spice garden. After this refreshing journey, you'll arrive in Munnar and settle into your hotel for a relaxing first day.
Day 2 - Munnar to Alleppey
Here's a summary of your travel from Munnar to Alleppey and your houseboat experience:
- Travel: The trip from Munnar to Alleppey takes at least 5 hours. To maximize your time on the houseboat, they recommend an 8am departure from Munnar, aiming to reach Alleppey by noon. (There's a chance you might arrive later due to travel time, so be prepared for a late check-in or skipping breakfast in Munnar).
- Houseboat stay: Embark on a relaxing 21-hour journey on a traditional Kerala houseboat starting at noon. Enjoy the scenic backwaters and unique sights along the way.
- Houseboat schedule:
- Lunch break for 1 hour during the cruise (cruise continues until 5:30 pm).
- The boat moors for the night and resumes cruising for 1 hour the next morning before check-out at 9 am.
- Houseboat options: Choose from various houseboat categories like Deluxe (basic), Premium, and Luxury.
