Day 1 - Kochi to Munnar
Your Munnar adventure begins with a pick-up from Kochi, followed by a scenic drive to your hill station haven. Along the way, you'll stop to admire the cascading beauty of Cheeyappara and Valara Waterfalls, and delve into the world of fragrant spices at a local spice garden. After this refreshing journey, you'll arrive in Munnar and settle into your hotel for a relaxing first day.
Day 2 - Munnar
Morning: Start your sightseeing at 9:00 AM with a visit to Eravikulam National Park (tickets can be booked online or at the counter, closed Feb-April). Next, head to the Tea Museum (closed on Mondays).
Afternoon: After lunch, enjoy the scenic beauty of Munnar with stops at Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, various viewpoints (including Pothamedu), and the Botanical Garden.
Day 3 - Thekkady
Periyar boating: Upon arrival in Thekkady (3-4hrs from Munnar), embark on a scenic boat tour on Periyar Lake, offering a chance to spot wildlife in the Periyar Wildlife sanctuary. Consider booking tickets in advance for convenience (tickets available online or at the counter).
Optional evening activities: In the evening, you can choose from a variety of optional activities (separate entrance fees apply):
- Witness a traditional Kathakali dance performance.
- Embark on an exciting elephant ride.
- Observe elephants enjoying a refreshing bath.
- Be mesmerized by the vibrant musical fountain show.
- Relax and unwind with an Ayurvedic massage.
Day 4 - Alleppey
Thekkady to Alleppey would take 3-4hrs, so, we will embark on an early start around 8am to reach the houseboat between 12-1pm.
Your houseboat experience includes:
- A relaxing afternoon cruise with lunch on board (until 5:30 PM).
- Overnight stay on the anchored houseboat.
- A scenic morning cruise followed by checkout at 9:00 AM.
You can choose from deluxe, premium, or luxury houseboats depending on your desired amenities. All houseboats include meals (welcome drink, tea, snacks, lunch, dinner, and breakfast).
- Breakfast on board.
- Morning cruise on the lake.
- Checkout of houseboat by 9:00 AM.
The houseboat will be anchored overnight. There are different categories of houseboats available, including deluxe, premium, and luxury. All houseboats include meals, welcome drinks, tea, snacks, mineral water, lunch, dinner, and breakfast.
Day 5 - Alleppey to Kochi
Kochi drop off: Head back to Kochi for your departure.
· Complimentary Kochi sightseeing (optional): Explore the city with a free tour that includes historical and cultural sites like Fort Kochi, museums, churches, palaces, and scenic spots. Enjoy a boat ride or stroll along the Marine Walkway if time allows. (Note the opening hours of specific locations: Hill Palace - closed on Mondays, Dutch Palace - closed on Fridays, Synagogue - closed on Fridays & Saturdays).
· Shopping time: Take some time for shopping in Kochi before your departure. Our representative will assist you at the airport, railway station, or bus stand.
